St. Tammany Parish Hospital
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks.
Minimum Qualifications: Current LA RN Licensure and BLS Certification required. ACLS preferred within 6 months of hire. NIHSS certification upon hire or within 3 months of hire. Successfully completed Board Certified Registered Nursing Program. Med/Surg experience preferred. Critical care experience preferred. 2 years of experience in neurosciences ICU nursing preferred.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
