Executes safe nursing practice in the care of the patient requiring cardiac procedures.Accountable for direct care of the adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive procedures in the cardiac cath lab.Accountable for direct pre and post procedure nursing care of the adult and geriatric patients in cardiovascular outpatient unit. Accountable for direct patient care of the adult and geriatric patients undergoing procedures in cardiology.
Minimum Qualifications: Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Minimum of two years of critical care nursing or one year cardiac cath lab experience. Current LA RN License required; BLS & ACLS certification through the American Heart Association is required. Must be able to work flexible hours and rotate call.
Preferred Qualifications:CCRN or CVRN preferred.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
