Job Description

Job Summary: The Ambulatory Application Coordinator designs, configures, implements, and supports application information systems to meet the clinical, financial, and registration / scheduling needs of the ambulatory practice environment. The position works with physicians, clinicians, financial, and administrative staff to understand current manual and automated workflows in order to evaluate, design, develop, and enhance these workflows through the use of information systems designed for the ambulatory environment. The position uses a combination of teamwork, analytical skills, and knowledge of current clinical and operational processes in order to create and maintain a highly-functioning information systems environment for both staff and patients, and to maximize organizational performance. The position may also be involved in or responsible for organizing and conducting staff training, and for creating clinical, financial, and administrative report output.Education: Bachelors degree OR certification in a related clinical field OR commensurate work experience: 5+ years in healthcare clinical or administrative operations.
