This position will be responsible for all aspects of patient care for the bariatric surgery division of the Weight and Wellness Center.Duties include expert comprehension of Center of Excellence and The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) in order to maintain our accreditation.
This includes but is not limited to:
* maintaining relevant policies and procedures
* data collection (serves as a resource for the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer)
*education of relevant staff in the various aspects of the metabolic and bariatric surgery patient with a focus on patient safety
* participation in the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Committee at the hospital facility
RN/LPN required. Certified Bariatric Nurse preferred.
1 year experience as a Bariatric Surgical Coordinator preferred.
Ability to place peripheral IVs required.
Membership in the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery preferred.
Required familiarity with all Microsoft products.
Required familiarity with database operation and outcomes reporting.
40 hours; M-F 8-5 with some evenings required
