Job Description
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for planning and providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for those inpatients identified to have nutrition risks via the nutrition screen performed by nursing personnel on admission, or as prescribed by physician. Instructs patients on individual level of comprehension. As a team member, develops age appropriate nutritional care plans per assigned units. Monitors and re-assesses patients response to care and possible changes in status to warrant further need for nutrition intervention. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The associate shall support the CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrinis strategic plan and the goals and direction of their Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics or related field
Completion of Approved Pre-Professional Practice Program or Internship
Six to twelve months in clinical dietetics practice preferred
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics or related field
Registered by Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD)
Licensed by the Louisiana Board of Dietetics and Nutrition (LDN)
Eligible to be Registered by Commission on Dietetic Registration (RDE)
