Position Summary: Responsible for delivery and retrieval of patient trays and operation of the dishmachine while maintaining cleanliness in the department. May be responsible for some food preparation. Maintains cleanliness of food carts as well as all other duties as assigned by supervisor. May make deliveries to nursing units and maintains infection control standards following HACCP guidelines. Job requires cross-training in positions within the department. May assist in the receiving and/or storage of supplies..Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

This position performs a variety of kitchen duties ranging from dishwashing to heavy cleaning.

. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: NoneB. Education: High school education or GED preferred. C. Experience: No prior training or experience necessary, but is desirable.D. Special Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions. Manual dexterity and motor coordination are required to handle dishes and trays rapidly and efficiently.
