This is a PRN position.
The Burn Tech works collaboratively with and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to participate in the delivery of patient care on the inpatient Burn unit. Provides personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, feeding, personal hygiene, and ambulating. Prepares and assists RN with debridements and removal/application of topical agents. Obtains and documents complete vital signs of patients, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration and pulse.Education/Experience Requirements:
MA, EMT, Military Medic or Nursing Student with that has completed fundamentals clinical rotation in a RN program (preference for Dec 2012 nursing school grads or later)
Successful candidate will have experience or training in sterile technique
Electronic charting computer skills
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
PRN
Day and Evening shift & Every Other Weekend
