The Baton Rouge General is committed to the highest standards of patient care and service. Our clinical professionals are certified and experienced in their fields of practice. Our non-clinical and service staff is customer-oriented and committed to our mission.

A commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a respectful, compassionate manner is at the heart of our hospital. Our community of over 3,000 caring individuals, who set the bar when it comes to health care excellence, is the key to our success. This is because every employee is personally committed to making a difference to those they serve.

Baton Rouge General is the only community-owned, not-for-profit, full-service hospital in Baton Rouge. The General operates as one hospital with two locations.

The Mid City campus is a 343-bed, full service hospital that includes a Pennington Cancer Center, Burn Center, Womack Heart Center, Pediatrics, PICU, Surgical Services, Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, Wound and Hyperbaric Treatment, Occupational Health Clinic, Diabetes Center and daycare.

The Bluebonnet campus, a 201-bed, full-service hospital, was recently expanded to include a Pennington Cancer Center, Womack Heart Center, a second four-story patient tower, a two-story critical care tower, and an expanded birth center. This $87 million expansion has poised the Bluebonnet campus for tremendous growth in the Ascension and Livingston Parish areas, some of the fastest developing communities in the United States.

In addition to a rich benefits package, Baton Rouge General employees have access to many educational opportunities ranging from leadership to computers to clinical training. We also coordinate fun events for employees and their families such as holiday lunches, walks and runs, an Easter egg hunt, and more.
